What the 5–10 kg tablet contains

For a dog over 5 kg and up to 10 kg, the tablet contains:

• Sarolaner 12 mg — kills and controls fleas and ticks
• Moxidectin 0.24 mg — helps prevent heartworm disease and controls certain parasites
• Pyrantel 50 mg — treats/control roundworms and hookworms Zoetis+1

Dose and administration

• Weight range: >5–10 kg
• Dose: 1 chewable tablet
• Frequency: once every month

What it covers

Important difference from regular Simparica

Simparica 40 mg mainly provides sarolaner for fleas/ticks, whereas Simparica Trio adds moxidectin and pyrantel, giving additional heartworm and intestinal-worm coverage. Zoetis

Safety

Because sarolaner is an isoxazoline, neurologic adverse effects such as tremors, ataxia or seizures are possible. Dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic problems should be discussed with a veterinarian before use. Also, heartworm prevention should be used according to the veterinarian/product-label recommendations, particularly if the dog has not been regularly protected.

Important: Don't give a 5–10 kg tablet to a dog outside that weight range just because the tablet is available. The strength is specifically selected according to body weight. European Commission
